Caroline Walker Photography
I’ve lived in the beautiful county of Dorset, on the south coast, for over 30 years. Having spent the best part of my career working in the insurance industry as a business analyst I finally got the opportunity to indulge my passion for photography on a full time basis a few years ago and I’ve never looked back.
My photography falls into four main categories; dogs, landscapes, nature and people.
Armed with nothing much more than an Olympus OMD EM1 Mkii, a couple of lenses, a tripod and bags of enthusiasm I love heading off to see what's on offer outside my door; to relish the beauty of nature, engage with people from different countries and cultures and try to capture my feelings through the lens. And although I have been lucky enough to travel extensively, there’s not much I've seen to beat the beauty of watching the sun rise over Dorset’s stunning coastline or countryside.
But whether on home turf or foreign fields, put a dog in front of me and I’m at my happiest. I have a passion for, and an affinity with, dogs of all shapes and sizes. Being able to put a dog totally at ease when pointing a camera at them enables me to capture their true spirit and character, which ultimately shows in the finished product. And as my reputation grows so dog photography is starting to become my main focus. As the resident photographer at The Creative Gallery, Wareham, my local landscape work is always available as framed fine art prints, photographic prints, cards and more and the Hallmark East Cliff Court Hotel (Bournemouth) uses my images to enhance their dining room and bedroom suites.
